“Michael Wolfe does an astonishing job in the role of Mij—he carries the play, making the audience feel sympathy for this man-child, even when we wince at his actions… Wolfe’s adept portrayal of this angry, and grief-stricken man is both arresting (in more than one way) and enthralling.” “…Dianna Martin directs her actors well, bringing out the humor in the play, as well as the sadness. She does a great job using the sparse set (which is uncredited). The lighting design by Alison May also communicates the hopeless and violent feelings many people of Bainbridge have.” - NYTheatre.com “…Half Forrest Gump, half Taxi Driver…” “Wolfe’s bravura performance anchors the play solidly- with a nigh-constant marathon stream-of-consciousness narrative, it’s almost a one-man-show that happens to have six other actors in it to bring the stories to life. His Mij is simultaneously appealing and appalling.” ONLY THREE CHANCES LEFT TO SEE BANSHEE OF BAINBRIDGE!!!! Tomorrow Saturday 8/21 at noon Hope to see you there.
“The play is unflinching and painful in its examination of the tragedy of neophobia and racism. It’s a difficult play to watch at times, as Mij makes bad decision after bad decision. Anyone for whom racial epithets are triggering might also want to skip this one.”
